Achieving Straighter Teeth

09-04-2021

There are many issues with teeth that can be fixed with a simple procedure. If your teeth are off-coloured, they can be whitened. Veneers are also available to restore your smile. Broken and chipped teeth can have a crown or a bridge. Missing teeth can be replaced with implants and dentures. However, crooked teeth are a little trickier to fix. The straightening of teeth that are crooked or uneven can often take a year or more to complete.

Braces

Traditional braces can be effective in straightening teeth, but they are somewhat visible. You can opt for tooth-coloured braces, but they will still be noticeable. Another downside to traditional braces is that food can easily become trapped. This can cause further issues such as gum disease or tooth decay. The wearer must clean their teeth thoroughly while braces are in use.

Invisalign

Invisalign provides a highly effective, more comfortable, and more discreet solution for crooked teeth. There are no brackets or wires involved, and the risk of decay is significantly reduced. Invisalign orthodontics are a fantastic and convenient way of straightening teeth. Invisalign are made to fit each wearer using impressions. They are constructed using clear medical plastic.

Advantages of Invisalign

Transparent – Invisalign is an almost invisible way of straightening teeth. They are durable and easy to take care of. Most people will not notice that you are using Invisalign as they are difficult to spot, even when close up.

Comfort – Each set is created to fit the individual user, and there are no wires, making for a more comfortable fit. The trays fit easily into your mouth and are barely visible.

Cleanliness – Braces pose the risk of food building up and tooth decay. With Invisalign, you can remove your fittings and clean them. There are no hard-to-reach crevices that could accumulate food, but it is advised to clean your trays and teeth before replacing them after eating.

Easily removed – the wearer can easily remove Invisalign. The trays can be removed before you begin eating and the eating experience will not be restricted. You can easily clean the trays before placing them back. It is advised to keep the removal of Invisalign down to mealtime and avoid removing unnecessarily at other times. If you remove them frequently, you could interrupt or prolong the treatment period.
